Restore colour to your lawn - instantly!

During winter, we often get asked the question “My Lawn is looking pretty ordinary, is there anything I can do to give it a bit of an instant colour boost?” Well, as it turns out, there is!
As a follow on from last weeks blog, this week I’d like to tell you a little bit more about turf colourants.
We are deep in winter, at a time of year where there is a high chance that your lawn is going to look fairly ordinary. There are many reasons why lawns loose colour - (have a look at our recent blog to learn more about this) and there are some things that you can do now to restore colour – instantly!
One of them is to spray your lawn with a turf pigment dye. We have come across a great little product called Colour King that does a great job of greening up tired/brown looking lawn at any time of the year.
You might have a house going on the market or you might have an event where you just need your lawn to look good and it’s in these times that a product like this comes into its own. Think of this as “Slapping on a bit of Lippy” for your lawn.
Colour King is not a paint……it is a treatment that strengthens and protects grass in extreme conditions, and reintroduces the green pigment back into the natural grass blades. It is 100% eco-friendly and non-toxic and is completely safe for both pets and people. It stays green for up to 3 months, and once it has dried on your lawn, will not wash away in the rain. It still allows the leaves to breathe, and when your lawn comes out of dormancy, will naturally grow out.
In the video below we have some Kings Pride Buffalo, and as you can see, the effects of frost on buffalo can be pretty extreme. With one application of Colour King, the colour is significantly improved. Simply mix Colour King concentrate into a sprayer as per the directions on the pack and then spray it onto your lawn. For darker results, repeat the application.
Of course, this is just a cosmetic solution and won’t deal with any underlying issues but if you need your lawn looking green quickly this could be the solution your looking for.
