Kings Pride Buffalo topdressing

If you are laying Kings Pride buffalo, you may notice that there isn't much soil attached to the sod. This is normal for buffalo due to the unique nature of its rootzone. During transit, the soil around the roots can fall away leaving the roots exposed.

To make sure that you get the best possible results, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU LIGHTLY TOPDRESS AFTER LAYING .

Instructions:

  1. Sprinkle a fine layer of sandy loam across the surface of the freshly laid turf (the equivalent of a 5mm layer)
  2. Use the back of a shovel and scrape off as much as possible. Whatever is left behind on the surface of the turf is enough to do the job.
  3. Water the topdressing through the turf - you shouldnt be able to see any top dressing soil when you're finished watering it through.

By top dressing, you will replace the soil that has fallen away which is essential to the turf's establishment.
